Deliberate Creation in Everyday Life

"You are either deliberately creating or creating by default."  That's one of my favorite quotes from the Abraham-Hicks workshop I attended this weekend.

While so many of us go through life reacting to everything that happens to us or around us, so few of us even realize that we have a choice.  Accepting responsibility for the life we've created is very difficult to do when it's not the life we really wanted.

I am contemplating this as I write about Eddie's parents and how they deal with his autism.  Do they blame him for the disorder? Do they blame each other?  Which leads me to the deeper question of, why would they want to take responsibility for it anyway?  What's in it for them?

Freedom.  When we finally take responsibility for the life we've created, we move beyond victimhood and into the freedom of directing our own lives.

All we have to do is decide to deliberately create... and freedom is ours.
